concept

KANADEYA comes from the trade name the home had in the past.
The building is graced with 150 years of history - the beauty of tradition, layered many times over.
Stay at the former residence of a wealthy farmer in the village woodlands. Enjoy your very own time in KANADEYA.
A renovated, 150-year old traditional Japanese home.
The renovation resulted in the addition of an open-air bath, and a redesign of the karesansui (dry landscape garden) and inner garden.
Surrounding the home is a lawn area for barbecues and other activities, as well as a field owned by KANADEYA.
The site also includes a cedar forest where guests can try shiitake mushroom picking and a bamboo thicket with a promenade perfect for walks.
